Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of COTS parts, modified COTS parts, and raw materials
  • Log all receipts in Excel database/ERP system, creates labels and distributes product to appropriate production locations
  • Maintain an organized warehouse and helps production leads locate items related to vessel assembly
  • Identify inventory shortages with production leads and purchasing to maintain adequate inventory to match production demand
  • Kits Electronic Ships Work Breakdown System (ESWBS)/Bill of Materials (BOM) groups for inventory and delivery to production departments during those respective production modules
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed for loading and unloading freight and storing inventory on racks and in containers
  • Identify obsolete parts and works with purchasing to consolidate and return
  • Support production as a material handler/helper as time permits
  • May travel occasionally, primarily in the local area
  • Take on new responsibilities as required

Requirements

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • One (1+) years of experience in warehouse management
    • High attention to detail, thorough and accurate task completion
    • Strong analytical skills for developing efficient systems and methods to identify and plan tasks
    • Understanding of kitting practices
    • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel and Outlook
    • Experience with ERP and/or computerized inventory systems
    • Excellent organization and time management, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively with vendors and coworkers
    • Employee must be a "U.S. Person" as defined Code of Federal Regulations, Title 22, Section 120.15
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • Two plus (2+) years warehouse management experience
    • Background in marine manufacturing and print reading
    • Experience with the following types of management software: Trello, Slack, ERP Systems
    • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations in a manufacturing environment
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Perform manual labor as required, including lifting up to 50lbs, working outside, and standing for long periods of time
    • Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, overhead cranes
    • Effectively and safely perform demanding work in support of company and client objectives
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete tasks
    • Ability to work long hours, when required, to meet deadlines and/or other deliverables
    • Office and heavy industrial manufacturing environment
