  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and related equipment to manufacture precision components.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, routings, and work instructions.
  • Create, modify, and maintain internal shop drawings using SolidWorks to support machining, setups, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Translate engineering designs into clear, practical shop‑level documentation to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to meet tolerance, quality, and cycle‑time requirements.
  • Perform routine in‑process dimensional checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure ongoing conformance during production.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues; implement corrective actions and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare quotes for new machining jobs by reviewing customer or engineering drawings and estimating labor hours, machine time, materials, tooling, and process complexity.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support NPI, prototypes, and design‑for‑manufacturability (DFM) efforts.
  • Mentor and train junior machinists and operators on CNC milling setups, machining techniques, drawing interpretation, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, 5S standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including setup sheets, work instructions, and revision‑controlled shop drawings.
