Assistant Professor of Economics

The Department of Economics at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professor positions in Economics with a focus on empirical research. We are particularly interested in candidates conducting research using machine learning methods.

• →A completed Ph.D. degree in Economics at the start of the appointment.
• →Expertise in applying modern econometrics and machine learning techniques to applied economic questions.
• →Potential to publish academic research in leading journals.
• →A commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and an interest in teaching a diverse student body, including first‐generation college students.

• The department has a preference for candidates who have developed and taught courses in data analytics/machine learning and who use these methods extensively in their research.
