Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President, Strategic Enrollment Management, Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the Director of Slate Customer Relationship Management System provides functional oversight and strategic coordination of Slate Connect, Slate Engage, and related Slate CRM integrations, as well as future CRM tools or platform components adopted to support the university’s business needs.

The incumbent provides leadership in collaboration with campus stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement Slate-based CRM technology solutions that improve business processes, enhance user experience, and support data-informed decision-making. The position translates functional requirements into scalable Slate configurations, establishes standards for system usage, implements CRM governance, coordinates system design and data integration decisions, and is an expert resource for those developing desired CRM functionality in Slate or a future CRM platform.

Department Summary

Within the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (SEMSA), the Office of Institutional Effectiveness serves as the university’s lead enterprise analytics and decision-support office, advancing key strategic priorities through rigorous analysis, modeling, and institutional analytics. In close coordination with other SEMSA units, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness leads the analytical and forecasting functions that underpin enrollment planning and management and guides the strategy informing campus-wide enrollment and student success initiatives.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to translate functional and operational requirements into scalable system configurations, workflows, and technical solutions within CRM platforms.
  • Ability to design and manage governance frameworks, intake processes, prioritization models, change-control procedures, and system documentation standards for enterprise or CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change in the context of enterprise system implementation, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, user adoption strategies, training delivery, and business process redesign.
  • Working knowledge of data management principles, reporting tools, dashboard development, and data quality practices in support of operational and leadership decision-making.
  • Ability to provide functional leadership and direction in the implementation, integration, and ongoing administration of enterprise systems across a complex organizational environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, data analytics, engineering, science, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in CRM administration, enterprise systems support, business systems analysis, or technology implementation, including at least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated hiring range for this role is $143,000 - $163,000 Per Year. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected.

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
