Under the general supervision, the Plumber performs skilled plumbing work across residential facilities, responding to service requests, completing preventive maintenance, repairing plumbing systems and fixtures, assisting with installations and projects, maintaining equipment and safe work practices, and supporting after-hours operational needs when assigned.
- Processes daily ticket requests for plumbing services for Student Housing, including the University Village.
- Performs repairs/replacement or disposals of faucets, sinks, shower valves, toilets, auxiliary accessories, washroom, lavatory, and shower equipment.
- Makes necessary repairs to domestic water supply systems; services gas and utility equipment, water closets, tankless boilers, and related devices; fire protection system sprinklers; and all related piping systems.
- Assists with remodeling and installing plumbing systems.
- Services and maintains the preventative maintenance program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
~1 min read- Progressively responsible training and experience which demonstrates achievement of journey-level skills equivalent to that acquired through completion of a standard plumber's apprenticeship program.
- LICENSE: CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS A VALID CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE.
- Experience as a journeyman plumber is highly desired.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, repair techniques, and applicable safety regulations to diagnose issues, complete repairs and replacements, install plumbing components, and ensure compliance with building codes and workplace safety standards; knowledge of the operation of building automation systems and HVAC systems.
- Skill in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures and equipment, including faucets, sinks, toilets, shower valves, lavatory fixtures, and related components, while responding efficiently to routine service requests and emergency situations.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple work orders in a fast-paced residential environment, communicate building utility system conditions effectively, coordinate material and supply needs, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with skilled trades personnel while operating carts and motor vehicles safely, providing responsive customer service, adapting to changing operational priorities, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained Student Housing community.
