Responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver's license.

Responsibilities

→Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
→Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
→Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
→Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
→Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
→Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
→Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
→Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
→Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
