- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super
Our Conservation Planning and Offsets Division is seeking 2 Senior Business Analysts to support key systems programs within the Biodiversity Offsets Branch, including the Biodiversity Assessment Method-Calculator (BAM-C) and other digital solutions to support reform and biodiversity assessments (see full role descriptions for each role below).
In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex biodiversity systems projects, analyse business needs, and drive process improvements that enhance service delivery and regulatory outcomes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, designers, developers, testers, data specialists and change practitioners to:
- understand business problems, user needs, regulatory requirements and desired outcomes
- facilitate discovery workshops
- analyse and document current and future-state business processes
- identify process, service and system improvement opportunities
- develop clear business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process models and acceptance criteria
- assess business, data, integration, reporting and stakeholder impacts
- support solution design, delivery planning, refinement, testing, implementation and change activities
You will join a collaborative, purpose-driven team working at the intersection of biodiversity policy, regulatory operations and digital delivery. The team is focused on innovation and delivering meaningful outcomes that support biodiversity conservation across NSW.
You are an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in digital delivery, system implementation, regulatory change or business improvement initiatives. You excel at stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis and process improvement, and can translate complex business needs into practical solutions. With excellent communication and facilitation skills, you thrive in complex environments and deliver high-quality outcomes across competing priorities.
- Extensive experience delivering business analysis across digital, system implementation, regulatory change or business improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience in requirements elicitation, business process analysis and process improvement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience supporting solution design, testing, implementation and change activities.
- Experience assessing business, data, integration and organisational impacts.
- Proficiency in contemporary business analysis and collaboration tools.
- Experience with CRM or case management platforms, such as Salesforce, is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of biodiversity assessment, environmental regulation or government service delivery is highly regarded.

- Tertiary qualifications and relevant professional certification such as quality or project management and/or relevant extensive experience in business analysis, project management and business improvement initiatives.
