Harvey Norman Commercial Division is focused on delivering the highest standards of service to the building and construction industry. Established in 2000, during this period we have been responsible for the fit-out of many quality projects throughout South Australia. We are currently one of the only dedicated specialist suppliers of kitchen and bathroom products to the building and construction industry, distributing to numerous major builders, developers and plumbers.

We currently have an opportunity available for an outstanding individual who shares our passion for supplying quality products that are solutions based to the building and construction industry, based at our Mile End office.
 
Reporting to the Estimation Manager your responsibilities will include:
 
• Interpreting contracts, building schedules and architectural plans.
• Review requests for quotation and estimates to prepare and issue quotes accordingly
• Liaising with clients, architects, consultants and internal staff to source and establish full project pricing and product/service requirements
• Support project sales team during proposal stage by reviewing bid/tender documents, preliminary project information and scope of works to be undertaken
• Maintain efficient communication with sales, distribution, administration and suppliers so that our clients are extended the highest level of customer service at all times. This will include one-on-one meetings, team meetings, phone, email and PODIO communications
• Maintenance of the quote registry through follow up on quotes with customers and the sales team
• Assist with core stock ordering and follow up of backorders/ outstanding purchase orders
• Update and maintain database price files and price levels and communicate these changes to staff
The successful candidate will have:
• Previous experience in an estimation role
• An exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Preferably knowledge with Microsoft “Great Plains”, Bidcontender and BCI
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
• Structured work approach
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously
