Research Associate

Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, is looking for a “Research Associate I”. Location: Santa Monica, CA Job Duration: Long-Term Contract (Potential for conversion at the end of 18 months depending on the needs of the business) Rate: $35-$39/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick Leave, 401 (k) Key Responsibilities Perform mammalian cell culture, cell counting, media preparation, and routine laboratory procedures. Execute laboratory experiments following established protocols and SOPs. Support laboratory automation, liquid handling, and sample processing workflows. Prepare reagents, consumables, and materials for experiments. Maintain accurate experimental records using electronic laboratory notebooks and laboratory data systems. Assist with data collection, quality checks, and organization of experimental results. Troubleshoot routine laboratory and automation workflow issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Hands-on laboratory experience through industry, academic research, internship, or similar experience. Practical experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique. Preferred Skills Experience with laboratory automation or liquid handling systems. Experience with cell-based assays, flow cytometry sample preparation, or molecular biology techniques.
