Summary Statement

A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Indian River Marina: \r\n\r\n\r\nMarina Ramp Attendant, $15.00 - responsibilities include but are not limited to customer service, facility clean up, grounds keeping and other assigned duties.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMarina Dock Hand, $15.00 - assist boaters entering and exiting their slips, direct transient boaters to the office, remind boaters of rules and regulations, and assist staff as needed. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShip Store Clerk, $15.00 - assist in the Retail management of the Ship store; includes overseeing the opening and closing of the store and register, maintaining inventory of store merchandise, scheduling haul outs and launches using Marina Office software. \r\n\r\n\r\nFuel Dock Attendant, $15.00 - a revenue attendant position, assisting visitors with fueling and mooring vessels at the marina and collecting and accounting for fuel and resale items. \r\n\r\n\r\nWork is performed indoors and outdoors, weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs and must be willing to work around boats and water.\r\n\r\n

Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n\r\n• May performs vehicle and foot patrol of assigned area. \r\n• May collect appropriate fees for fuel sales. \r\n• May perform custodial services for the dock. \r\n• Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors. \r\n• Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills. \r\n• Must be able to work independently. \r\n• Other duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements

At least 18 years of age. \r\n2. Knowledge of customer service. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMarina Dock Hand: \r\n1. At least 16 years of age. \r\n2. Knowledge of customer service. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShip Store Clerk: \r\n1. Six months experience in a customer service role. \r\n2. Six months experience with point-of-sale (cash register) software. \r\n3. Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, or databases. \r\n4. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled or disqualified from driving). \r\n\r\n\r\nMarina Fuel Dock Attendant: \r\n1.\tAt least 16 years of age. \r\n2.\tKnowledge of working with money and making change. \r\n3.\tKnowledge of math such as addition and subtraction.\r\n
