Summary Statement
The Principal responsibility is to provide highly effective technical support for DTI’s technical infrastructure.� Highly effective means that the services for the assigned assets are provided in a way that is efficient, meets the needs of the customers (both DTI and other state agencies) and customers in compliance with DTI policy and procedures.� The services will be primarily rendered through a combination of personal effort, joint effort with others in the workgroup, and collaboration with other DTI staff, vendors, and customers.� \r\nThe Associate Analyst will report to the System Administration Manager.\r\nThe incumbent is expected to possess modest technical proficiency in at least one of the core Technology Domains and an aptitude for learning in the rest.\r\nThe Technology Domains include the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Server Infrastructure, Microsoft Technologies, Linux\r\n VMWare Virtualization�\r\n Database\r\n Project Management\r\n Web Engineering Support and Planning\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Preferred Qualification
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Possess an Associates Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for the DTI Systems Administration Associate Analyst:\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n\r\n Possess a minimum of 1 year of technical experience in one or more of the core technical requirements and related product support in a 24x7 operational environment. Specific technical components and/or skills required for each of the Technology Domains are listed below.\r\n\r\no�� Mid-Range Server Support – Red Hat/Oracle LINUX, Windows Servero�� Middleware Support – SFTP,�WebSphere, WebLogic,�Apache, Tomcat, IIS\r\no�� Web Engineering Support –�CI/CD, Observability, F5, GitOps\r\no�� Configuration Management – Ansible or other configuration management tools, OTelo�� Data Center Support –�1st level technical support to troubleshoot virtual server/software related issues, execute backup/recovery procedures, monitoring\r\n
