Meet the team:
As a Legal Counsel Southern Europe / France you will play a vital role in the development of Dexcom France and other Dexcom countries in the Southern Cluster, such as Spain and Italy. This role of a will report to the Senior Director Legal EMEA and will be positioned in one of Dexcom’s growing office locations outside of France; preferably Barcelona, Spain.
Where you come in:
* You will be working closely with Dexcom's commercial team in France as a first legal touch point and as a business partner supporting with, inter alia, contracts business development and go-to-market strategies by applying combined legal, commercial and practical judgment and you will support the Southern Cluster functions respectively.
* You ensure contractual alignment when drafting and reviewing all types of commercial agreements, including contracts with public administration and health insurances, distribution and rebate agreements, master services agreements, project assignments, sponsorship agreements, service agreements, NDAs and SOWs.
* In close partnership with your colleagues from the EMEA Legal team and our global specialists, you provide specialist advice on matters of local French and EU healthcare and medical devices laws, including on re-imbursement, public procurement law, digital health, competition law and anti-money laundering laws as well as international trade compliance matters.
* You draft, review and negotiate agreements and engagements with healthcare professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations (HCOs), including public and private health insurances and patient organizations, ensuring compliance with French and EU rules on transparency, fair market value, anti‑kickback/ABAC requirements and industry codes of ethics and conduct.
* You will be reviewing and approving advertising and promotional and educational materials, ensuring compliance with applicable national and EU rules governing medical device advertising and interactions with patients, HCPs and HCOs.
* You work cross functional closely with EMEA business and support teams, including but not limited to Compliance, Data Privacy, Regulatory, Quality, Government Affairs and Tax to ensure coordinated, compliant business execution.
* You contribute to the development and rollout of internal policies, playbooks, templates and training programs to strengthen legal and compliance awareness across the organization.
What makes you successful:
* You are a French qualified lawyer with active practicing certificate or bar admission in France.
* You have demonstrated experience in providing legal advice, negotiating contracts and closing business transactions in a highly regulated environment, ideally gained in a mix of being an in-house lawyer and from working in a law firm.
* You have excellent verbal and written communication in English and French (other EMEA languages are a plus).
* You have very good understanding of and practical experience with laws and regulations governing healthcare and medical devices in France and the EU, including direct and indirect supply of medical devices, re-imbursement schemes of public and private health insurances and public procurement and you know your way around EU competition law and international commercial law.
* You are used to identifying legal risks issues quickly and providing practical, business oriented solutions effectively under time pressure.
* You have strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, personal integrity and commitment to operating ethically and professionally and you are a proven team player.
* You are experienced in prioritizing conflicting demands and managing multiple business clients in a fast paced environment. You are flexible open to change in response to new information or changed circumstances.
* You must possess comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to use contract management systems
* You are able to perform remote work professionally, confidentially, efficiently, and independently with minimal supervision. You will also work at Dexcom’s office location as needed.

Experience and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience
