EABL is a Public Listed Company (Plc) listed on the Securities/Stock Exchange in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

The role is accountable for leading Packaging Operations to consistently deliver production volumes efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with market demand and business objectives. It also involves driving the site Asset Care Strategy to enhance equipment reliability, availability, and maintenance effectiveness, positioning the site as a benchmark operation. Additionally, the role sponsors Supply Chain Excellence initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement, cost optimization, and performance enhancement across packaging, engineering, utilities, and facilities. Together, these priorities ensure operational efficiency, asset reliability, and world-class supply chain performance.

• Asset Care Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement an asset care strategy for the sites, aligning with Diageo's engineering excellence standards and performance ambitions.
• Performance Management: Manage and report site performance in engineering and packaging to meet AOP targets, focusing on energy, water, greenhouse gases, and productivity improvements.
• Budgeting and Financial Management: Exercise prudence in budgeting and managing finances for packaging production, asset care, site facilities, and utilities.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety systems, develop a site safety strategy for SBL sites, sponsor safety subcommittees to reduce accidents.
• Training and Capability Development: Conduct capability reviews of site engineers, facilitate training requirements to enhance skills levels across engineering and packaging teams.
• These priorities focus on strategic implementation, performance management, financial oversight, safety compliance, and workforce development.

University degree in Engineering disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics.

Registration status at corporate level by Engineers Registration Board or equivalent professional body.

• 8 years first line management experience
• 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance management.
• 3 years’ experience in packaging operations management.
• Proven planning and leadership record
• Know and understand fully, plant operational and maintenance requirements
• Knowledge of EISC and MMS.
• Project management skills, Strong business mind set, Strong leadership skill, Adaptability to changes.
