We are looking for an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of integrated electrical systems for a variety of building projects. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contribute across all project phases, and provide technical leadership and mentorship while delivering high quality, innovative solutions.
Work collaboratively alongside electrical engineers and technologists in designing lighting, power, security, fire alarm, communications and data communications systems for various types of buildings
Work with architects, interior designers, structural and mechanical engineers to create integrated and highly sustainable design solutions for a wide variety of building types
Prepare reports and design specifications for electrical systems and equipment
Manage the project deliverables by overseeing the BIM model development, respond to design activity schedules and milestones and resource personnel to accomplish these tasks
Provide Contract Administration support for electrical engineering projects
Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained by working with integrated team members
Reference local and national codes in the service of solving design problems in a way that is compliant
Be involved in all phases of projects, from concept design, construction to completion
Mentor and develop junior team members
University Degree in Electrical Engineering is required, registered P.Eng is desired
Combined 5-12 years of experience in healthcare, commercial, institutional and retail consulting
Experience in AEC or Consulting Engineering, drafting and design work power system design, fire safety, lighting, IMIT (Information Management and Information Technology) systems
Knowledgeable in National and Provincial building and electrical codes and CSA/ULC/TIA standards for large buildings and various building typologies
Strong understanding and experience with schematic design, design development, detailed design, contract documents, National Master Specification (NMS) and Contract Administration for various project types
BIM expertise and proficiency in using Revit software are prerequisites for this position
Collaborative and team oriented
Ability to manage various project types
Ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance/Status
LEED Accreditation is an asset
