Coordinates and / or performs general maintenance and repair on buildings, facilities and grounds. Duties include custodial work, light carpentry, plumbing, building / grounds maintenance and assisting with internal moves and space management. Installs, maintains and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems, controls and building automation systems, data center support systems, emergency generators and switchgear and fire / life systems. Responds to systems outages and emergencies to ensure minimal downtime. Estimates labor / materials costs for construction and repairs. Acts as liaison with outside contractors on building and equipment repair.

  • Working within established guidelines and procedures, ensures assigned facilities or buildings are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Routinely inspects, resolves or reports issues with equipment for corrosion or excessive wear.
  • Maintains supplies of cleaning products, paper products and other items used regularly by DN employees and visitors to the site.
  • May be responsible for re-ordering parts and supplies in alignment with established guidelines and budgets.
  • May provide guidance to less experienced Maintenance staff.
  • Uses appropriate tools for their intended purpose to perform cleaning / repair / maintenance duties in a safe manner.
  • Responds to emergency and scheduled maintenance calls as needed.
  • Where appropriate, maintains company vehicle and equipment.
  • May serve as a back up truck driver and must maintain all DOT-required certifications, qualifications, and driving standards to safely operate company vehicles as needed.
  • Organizes and manages service documentation, parts and stock.
  • May stand in for Supervisor or Manager in safety briefings or other cross-functional working teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Education or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Maintenance.
  • Good business English skills (Written and spoken). 
  • Practical experience / qualifications in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, practices and techniques.
  • Understands EHS hazards and implications with potential relevant qualifications.
  • Experience in stock management and ordering.
  • Good communication, presentation, problem solving and thinking skills.
  • Proficient in all MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
