We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Analyst to join our team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll for our India-based employee population. You will serve as a key point of contact between employees, HR, Finance, and third-party payroll vendors, playing an essential part in ensuring our people are paid correctly and on time.

This position will also play an instrumental role in launching our new Payroll Hub in India as part of our broader transformation initiative over the next three years, centered on a managed services delivery model. As the Hub evolves, it will support payroll operations across multiple APAC countries.
Given the strategic importance of regional language and compliance expertise, this role may further expand to support additional APAC geographies, contributing to the scalability and success of our global payroll operating model.

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for India employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness each payroll cycle
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments
Validate payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, and leave data before processing
Ensure full statutory compliance with Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)
Perform payroll calculations, verify deductions, and reconcile discrepancies prior to final payroll runs
Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for employee payroll queries
Support internal and external audits by preparing and maintaining accurate payroll documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external vendors to drive continuous improvement in payroll operations
Contribute to the build-out and ongoing development of the India Payroll Hub, supporting multi-country APAC payroll operations as the Hub scales
Requirements
~1 min read2–5 years of hands-on payroll experience in India
Strong working knowledge of Indian statutory regulations including PF, ESI, PT, and TDS
Familiarity with payroll software and HRMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Workday, or similar)
High attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Experience working with third-party payroll vendors is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
