Registered Nurse – Clinic Setting
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care with a personal touch.
Our clinic offers a range of services including Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Family Health, and Dermatology, with plans to expand into Endocrinology and Urology. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively across departments and feel comfortable rotating as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support physicians in assessing, planning, and delivering patient care
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, including stocking supplies and sterilising equipment
- Coordinate follow-up appointments, manage patient communications, and handle pre-authorisations and Letters of Agreement (LOAs)
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and staff
- Promote healthy lifestyle practices and preventative care
- Assist with audits and contribute to the development of protocols and care pathways
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
- Ensure efficient clinic operations, including scheduling and stock management
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and maintain strict infection control practices
- Administer medications, vaccines, IV therapies, and perform clinical procedures such as blood draws, wound care, and suture removal
- Prepare and manage laboratory tests and samples (e.g., blood, biopsies, skin scrapings)
- Address patient concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary
- Mentor junior nursing staff and support professional development within the team
- Participate in onboarding and training of new staff
- Review billing and insurance queries to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
- Prior experience in a busy clinical or outpatient setting
- At least 5 years’ experience in venepuncture (adults and paediatrics)
- Wound care certification (preferred)
- Working knowledge of insurance processes, including coding, pre-authorisations, and claims
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and patient-focused approach
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining licensure
Travel Requirement
- Occasional travel between Integra’s two locations within Grand Cayman
