Our site Superalloys of Long beach, based in California specializes in the production of high-performance vacuum refined superalloys serving the aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine, and automotive market.

The Tundish Build Operator is responsible for the daily activity of building and breaking down of the tundishes used in the Vacuum Furnaces. The Operator will work with the Vacuum Melters to maintain the correct specifications and quantity of tundishes based upon the available melt plan.

• Build tundishes for the vacuum furnaces based upon the most current melt schedule provided.

• Break down used or spent tundish to supply metal shells for tundishes to be built

• Sort refractory from the used furnace linings and tundishes to be reused in tundishes

• Maintain proper inventory of consumables.

• Routinely apply knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and optimize effectiveness of product in the best efficient manner.

• High school completion or equivalent experience

• Experience in a related field, industry or manufacturing environment Preferred
