Cloud Platform Team at Druva drives the backbone of everything SaaS related. This team designs and develops features that cater to both Customer facing needs and internal stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in evolving Druva's architecture, as the company scales further. Key focus areas for the Platform Organization include Druva Cloud Platform, Product-Led Growth (PLG), Ecosystem & Integrations, Licensing and Agentic AI platform . By tackling these critical domains, the team ensures Druva’s platform remains robust, scalable, and ready for the future.
About Role :
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of software modules owned by a team. Your primary focus will be on the development of all backend server-side components and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will guide and mentor junior team members by reviewing their code and designs to ensure that they are writing well-designed and high-quality code. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will need to collaborate across teams.
- 6+ years of experience, preferably in a product company.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Go/Python/C++/Java on Unix/Linux or Windows platform.
- Excellent programming skills along with Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Concepts.
- Strong experience in working with SoA (Service-Oriented Architecture).
- Hands-on experience with GenAI-based development with extensive prompts and preferably spec-based development (Cursor/Gemini). Note that just using vibe coding or peripheral AI chat doesn't.
- Experience in working with Microservices.
- Experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS).
- Experience with third-party API integrations at scale (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies like Scrum, etc.
- Knowledge of the SaaS or Backup domain will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Dockers and Kubernetes will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →The Engineer's role is to be the technical leader in building enterprise-grade, scalable, performant systems which deliver the required functionality to the customer's delight.
- →Should be able to design and implement sufficiently large and complex features and/or architectural improvements to the product.
- →Suggest and propose solutions to complex design problems.
- →Identify areas of engineering improvements to the product and work with product architects and the team to address them.
- →Should be able to technically guide junior engineers with feature design and review the design and implementation done by junior engineers.
- →Should be able to generate detailed specs for development via GenAI.
- →Should be able to independently handle complex escalations and guide others.
Requirements
