Early Career - Software Engineer, Science & Research – Part Time (6 months) Location: San Diego, CA We have an exciting part-time (6 months) opportunity in Software Engineering to join our Informatics team within Science & Research in San Diego, CA. Ideal for current students or recent grads! This individual will support research project activities onsite in Taste Research. Kick start your career in getting hands-on experience in software engineering for research! You Bring: * Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, with interest in supporting Life Sciences research and development * Experience building at least one web application using C#/.NET * Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and fundamental software engineering principles * Familiarity with Relational Databases and SQL * Candidates must be available to work an average of 20 hours weekly within work hours 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday; scheduling can be flexible * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work with a diverse group of people * Ideal candidate will be eager, energetic, reliable and self-motivated and ability to work independently The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
