DESCRIPTION
The Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center is seeking compassionate, driven individuals to join our team as Family Resource Specialists. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative program dedicated to supporting youth and their families during critical moments.
As part of a unique public-private partnership, Eagle Quest operates The Harbor Juvenile Assessment Centers; providing a coordinated, community-based approach to assessment, stabilization, and connection to services. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact.
Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
The Family Resource Specialist works directly with youth and their families to assess needs, provide immediate support, and connect them to appropriate community resources and referrals. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to build trust while ensuring timely follow-up and positive outcomes.
- Complete family centered screenings to identify needs
- Provide support, guidance, and resource navigation for the family
- Connect families to community-based services and referrals
- Maintain consistent follow-up communication to ensure successful service linkage
- Deliver a welcoming, safe, and supportive experience for all clients
Available Sites and Shifts
- North: Full-Time | Wednesday-Sunday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Henderson: Part-Time | Friday-Sunday 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
- Flamingo: Full-Time | Saturday-Sunday 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Wednesday 2pm-10pm
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field required
- Ability to successfully pass an FBI background check and Nevada Child Abuse and Neglect Registry clearance (required)
- Demonstrated passion for supporting at-risk youth and their families in achieving positive, sustainable outcomes
- At least two (2) years of verifiable experience working with youth
- Flexibility to travel and provide coverage at other Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center locations, community locations, and/or Eagle Quest home office within Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas, as needed
