Role : MYP Integrated Humanities Educator (Grades 7 &10) Experience: 1-2 years Location: Kunkni, Surat Work Timings: Monday to Saturday | 7:40 AM – 3:45 PM (Occasional extended hours may be required based on school needs.) Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking MYP Integrated Humanities Educator to teach students of Grades 7 to 10. The candidate should possess a strong interdisciplinary understanding of History, Geography, and Civics, along with the ability to spark curiosity about global and local issues. The ideal teacher will be skilled in designing concept-based, inquiry-driven units aligned with the MYP framework, and adept at using G-Suite educational tools. Key Responsibilities: ● Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Integrated Humanities lessons for Grades 7–10. ● Develop Interdisciplinary and inquiry-based units rooted in MYP Key and Related Concepts, Global Contexts, and Approaches to Learning (ATL). ● Facilitate classroom discussions around historical events, geographical patterns, and civic responsibilities to build critical thinking and global awareness. ● Create real-world connections to help students understand contemporary global and local issues through a humanities lens. ● Use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to cater to different learning needs and styles. ● Assess student understanding through a range of formative and summative tasks aligned with MYP assessment criteria. ● Integrate technology, especially G-Suite tools (Google Docs, Slides, Forms, etc.), to enhance teaching, collaboration, and reflection. ● Support the development of students' research, communication, and thinking skills through interdisciplinary learning. ● Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and school-wide initiatives. Requirements Preferred Qualifications and Skills: ● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, or related humanities disciplines. ● Strong command of the English language (spoken and written). ● Ability to foster a classroom culture of respect, inquiry, and academic rigor. ● Proficiency in G-Suite for Education (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.). ● Passion for interdisciplinary teaching and the ability to make meaningful connections across subjects. ● Strong interpersonal, organizational, and classroom management skills.
