STL Pest Control is launching a key leadership role to support our rapid growth: Field Operations Manager. This position will oversee all field technicians, manage day-to-day operational performance, and assume many responsibilities currently handled at the executive level. As the company scales, this role will lead future Lead Technicians and eventually a Service Manager.
We are seeking a highly experienced operations leader with a strong background in professional pest control who can build structure, elevate service quality, and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities

· Directly supervise pest control technicians and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
· Provide coaching, performance management, and ongoing training.
· Develop and oversee future Lead Technician roles.
· Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer-first service.
Operational Management
· Own daily field operations including scheduling, routing, and resource allocation.
· Monitor and improve KPIs such as service completion rates, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity.
· Implement SOPs, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
· Ensure compliance with Missouri pest control regulations, licensing, and safety standards.
Customer Experience Oversight
· Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
· Maintain strong communication between field operations and office staff.
· Uphold STL Pest Control’s reputation for reliability and professionalism.
Strategic Growth & Process Improvement
· Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements.
· Assist with planning for expansion, staffing, equipment needs, and territory growth.
· Collaborate with leadership on long-term operational strategy.
· Build the operational foundation for future management layers.
Administrative & Reporting
· Maintain accurate service records, technician performance data, and operational reports.
· Oversee inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and fleet readiness.
· Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new field staff.
Requirements
~1 min read· Minimum 3–5 years of professional pest control experience (commercial or residential).
· Minimum 2 years of leadership or field operations management experience in pest control or a related home services industry.
· Strong understanding of pest control regulations, treatment methods, and safety standards.
· Proven ability to manage field teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Valid driver’s license; Missouri pest control licensing preferred (or willingness to obtain).
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
· Ability to work in a variety of environments including attics, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor conditions.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks associated with pest control service work.
· Ability to safely handle and apply pest control products and equipment.
