UDRI is a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers. We are seeking talented individuals to work with our NDI team in support of evaluating, performing, integrating and advancing NDE methods for military aerospace applications. This person will work with the Nondestructive Evaluation (NDI) team lead in support of evaluating, performing, integrating and advancing NDE methods for military aerospace applications. Inspection of aircraft structures, engines, and support components for damage due to in-service or manufacturing induced flaws will be performed on metallic, composite, hybrid, and nonmetallic materials. Inspections will be performed in accordance with existing standards and procedures or to qualify and create new techniques meeting those standards. Duties include day to day inspections of parts and components, data processing and evaluation, authoring and establishing new techniques for ultrasonic inspection, operation and maintenance of ultrasonic equipment (shearwave, phased array, immersion) as well as other NDE disciplines/techniques as necessary to accomplish the testing requirements. |
