→Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, and structures, using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
→Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes and materials required for each project
→ Inspects and maintains welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and safe to use
→Performs repairs on broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases the size of metal parts as needed
→Follows safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is often preferred
A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding is commonly required, with proficiency in multiple welding techniques
Certification in welding from recognized organizations (e.g., AWS) may be required or preferred
