Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) rollout programmes across the UK as part of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). This role is responsible for coordinating multi-site deployments, managing installation schedules, engaging with customers and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Working within an established programme framework, you will play a key role in turning delivery plans into operational success.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of assigned RVM rollout projects, ensuring milestones, timelines, and operational objectives are achieved.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering site readiness, logistics, installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
Coordinate installation schedules across multiple customer locations and deployment programmes.
Manage internal teams, contractors, and third-party partners to ensure efficient project execution.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project delivery, installation planning, and scheduling.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation actions.
Maintain accurate project documentation, delivery records, and reporting in line with programme governance requirements.
Track project costs, manage variations, and provide delivery insights to support forecasting and budget control.
Ensure successful operational handover of completed installations to Service and Operations teams.
Promote compliance with health, safety, quality, and operational standards throughout all project activities.
Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or similar discipline
Proven experience delivering large-scale, multi-site rollout, deployment, mobilisation, or installation projects.
Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent experience).
Strong planning and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and stakeholders.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and third-party suppliers.
Customer-facing project delivery experience with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Background within operational, engineering, logistics, field service, or equipment deployment environments.
Strong reporting, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required.
