The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Centre’s communication and dissemination strategy in an integrated manner and implementing it through impactful and coordinated evidence-based campaigns as well as events, workshops, presentations, meetings, conferences and social events, which will promote the culture and the functions of the Centre. The appointee will provide active and continuous support to the Centre in building mutual relationships and partnerships across a range of stakeholders, through the organisation of events and use of social media outlets, websites, promotional campaigns, e-newsletters, e-mails and other communication.
Responsibilities

In particular, the successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:
• Write, edit, and distribute content, including newsletters, press releases, website content, and other marketing material that communicates the organisation's activities and/or services;
• Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organisation, and coordinate publicity events as required;
• Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics;
• Prepare and manage social media communications;
• Assist in organisation of events/activities;
• Plan meetings and take detailed minutes;
• Provide general support to visitors;
• Maintain contact lists;
• Promote communication and dissemination activities of funded projects;
• Any other relevant duties deemed necessary.
Requirements
~1 min read• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Media or a related discipline;
• Proven professional experience (minimum 3 years) in communications, social media management, or event organisation;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn);
• Strong experience in managing social media platforms and digital communication tools;
• Knowledge of content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software) will be considered an advantage;
• Experience in organising and coordinating events of different scales;
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken;
• Additional languages will be considered a plus;
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills;
• Excellent team working ability;
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment;
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, when required (e.g. events);
• Comprehension of Earth Observation and Remote Sensing related topics will be considered as a plus.

• Physical presence in the designated area of employment of the Centre in Cyprus.
