Erdman Anthony is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with architects and building owners under the guidance of a Professional Engineer to translate owner needs into a building design that is buildable, cost-effective, and sustainable.

Responsibilities

→Calculate heating and cooling loads using Carrier HAP software to size equipment
→Estimate energy use and savings using EQuest and other simulation programs
→Lay out ductwork, piping and equipment using AutoCAD software
→Model building HVAC and plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit software
→Survey buildings: take photos, measurements, assess equipment
→Calculate pipe sizes for refrigeration systems using Excel and other tools
→Answer construction questions relevant to your designs
→Meet with utilities to work out building connections
→Perform energy code compliance calculations
→Model buildings for LEED Energy credits

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from EAC/ABET certified school
Experience in HVAC or Plumbing design
Engineer in Training certification preferred, PE a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work well in a team environment
