About the role

Erdos Miller is hiring a Supply Chain Coordinator with hands-on PCB and PCBA purchasing experience to buy the boards and assemblies that go into our downhole electronics, on schedule and on budget. You will manage the flow of bare boards, electronic, mechanical components and contract-manufactured assemblies from quote to dock, working closely with engineering, production and our supplier network.

Key responsibilities

  • Issue and manage purchase orders for bare PCBs, electronic components, mechanical and turnkey/consigned PCBA builds in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Send complete RFQ packages (Gerbers, fab drawings, BOMs, assembly drawings) to board fabricators and contract manufacturers (CMs), and compare quotes on price, lead time and quality.
  • Place bare-board orders to spec: layer count, material, surface finish, IPC class, panelization and test requirements.
  • Evaluate turnkey vs. consigned PCBA builds and recommend the lower total cost option.
  • Support cost and lead-time negotiations with fabricators, CMs and distributors.
  • Review bills of materials (BOMs) with engineering to confirm part availability, flag obsolete, end-of-life or long-lead components, and source approved alternates.
  • Prepare and track consigned kits to CMs; reconcile shortages, overages and attrition.
  • Expedite open orders, track delivery dates and communicate schedule risks to production and program teams.
  • Coordinate with quality on incoming inspection, supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and nonconforming material.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, part and pricing data, including manufacturer part numbers, MOQs and lead times.
  • Monitor inventory levels, support cycle counts and build purchase plans from the production forecast.
  • Track supplier on-time delivery and quality metrics and report them monthly.
  • Support compliance documentation, including RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals and export classification.

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years in purchasing, procurement or supply chain coordination in electronics manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience buying PCBs and PCBA, including turnkey and consigned builds with contract manufacturers.
  • Working knowledge of electronic components (passives, ICs, connectors), manufacturer part numbers and distributor channels such as Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow and Avnet.
  • Ability to read and work from BOMs, and familiarity with PCB fabrication specs (layer count, finish, IPC class).
  • Experience with an ERP/MRP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Epicor, Dynamics) and strong Excel skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage many open orders and shifting priorities.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in oil and gas, downhole tools, industrial or other high-reliability electronics.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Experience with component sourcing tools such as Octopart, SiliconExpert or IHS.
  • Background managing component shortages, allocation or broker purchases with counterfeit-avoidance controls.
  • APICS/ASCM (CPIM or CSCP) or ISM certification.
