Architect / Designer

EskewDumezRipple (EDR) is a nationally recognized group of architects, designers, and thinkers operating within the fields of architecture, interior design, research, and urban strategies with studios in New Orleans and Washington DC.

We are currently seeking an Architect / Designer with 3-7 years of experience to join our studio in New Orleans, LA. This role will contribute to a variety of projects across multiple program types and scales, working collaboratively as part of project teams while taking increasing ownership of project coordination, technical development, and delivery.

The ideal candidate is a strong project team member who is ready to take on greater responsibility, with opportunities to lead smaller projects or significant portions of larger projects based on experience and demonstrated ability.

  Participate and contribute throughout all phases of a project, from early design through construction administration.

  Develop and coordinate architectural design, documentation, and technical execution as part of a collaborative project team.

  Apply and develop knowledge of building codes, building systems, materials, detailing, permitting, and regulatory requirements.

  Take ownership of assigned portions of projects and help drive them through coordination and completion.

  Work directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members to support successful project delivery.

  Take on increasing responsibility for larger portions of projects or smaller projects based on experience and demonstrated ability.

  Support and mentor less experienced team members.

  Contribute to EDR's collaborative studio culture and commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and high-performance outcomes.

• 3+ years of relevant architectural experience.

• Professional degree in architecture.

• Licensed architect or actively pursuing architectural license.

• Proficiency in Revit.

• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and/or LEED/WELL credentials.

• Active professional, cultural and civic participation is preferred.
