Senior Software Engineer

EveryMatrix is a leading B2B SaaS provider delivering iGaming software, content and services. We provide casino, sports betting, platform and payments, and affiliate management to 300 customers worldwide.

We are looking for a senior generalist engineer. You will work across PHP, AngularJS, Go, Node, and SQL. Strong in PHP, able to pick up Go and Node as needed, able to work in a system you did not write.

You own features from design to production, write short design docs before non-trivial work, and work directly with product and QA. You already use agentic coding tools daily.
Senior here is not about years of experience. It is about how you operate, technically and with people:

• Takes the hard tasks. Picks up the unclear, risky, or unpopular problem and drives it until it is working in production for real users. Done means live, not a ticket status.

• Flexible in solutions. Has more than one way to solve a problem and chooses based on constraints, not habit.

• Moves fast when it matters. Knows when to ship quickly and when to slow down, and can tell the difference.

• Communicates. Explains decisions clearly, keeps people informed, raises problems early instead of late.

• Gives and takes feedback. Direct, specific, constructive. Not defensive when the feedback comes back.

• Owns outcomes. Not just the code, but whether the thing actually works for the people using it.
  
  
  What you'll get to do:

• Build and ship features across the stack: data model, API, UI.

• Help split the monolith into services: define service boundaries, plan data migrations, roll out changes step by step without downtime.

• Modernize legacy code where it pays off.

• Write short design docs for non-trivial changes.

• Own what you ship: monitoring, alerts, fixes.

• Design schemas, write efficient queries, build reports operators depend on.

• Review code and mentor.
  
  What we're looking for:

• Solid experience building and running production software at a senior level.

• Strong in PHP; able to pick up Go and Node as needed.

• Solid with relational databases: schema design, query performance, migrations on live data.

• Experience improving a large legacy codebase incrementally.

• Usage of agentic AI coding tools daily. You can show us how you plan work for an agent, where you trust it, and where you don't.

• Writing tests and treating correctness especially seriously where money, commissions, and reporting are involved.

• Writing clear design docs, tickets, and PR descriptions.

• Communicating directly with product, QA, and non-technical stakeholders.

• Working English, spoken and written.

• Splitting a monolith into services in production.

• Kubernetes and Cloudflare in daily operations.

• LLM-backed features: pipelines, evaluation, self-hosted open-weight models, MCP servers.

• Applied ML in production (recommendation or scoring).

• Payments, fintech, or iGaming.

• Web scraping at scale, anti-bot handling, proxies.
