As an Associate Engineer, you will be supporting EVYD’s Core Technology platform and project deliveries. This role will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines, ensuring data reliability, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our data platform and production systems.
Responsibilities

Understand business requirements and technical specifications, and participate in the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions.

Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data workflows to ensure data availability, quality, and performance.

Monitor and maintain data pipelines and production data systems, ensuring timely detection and resolution of issues.

Respond to EVYD data operational issue, which includes:
- →Analyzing and troubleshooting data-related incidents
- →Performing SQL queries and data investigation to identify root causes
- →Proposing and implementing appropriate solutions
- →Coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to resolve issues
- →
Collaborate with other associate engineers, data engineers, software engineers, and project stakeholders to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Support data validation, quality assurance, and data governance activities.
- →
Participate in system optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives for data infrastructure and workflows.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, software engineering, or similar.

1 to 4 years of experience in data engineering, data development, or related roles (fresh graduates with strong technical skills are welcome to apply).

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Hive, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)

Familiarity with Big data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Flink, etc.)

Understanding of data pipeline concepts (ETL/ELT, data ingestion, transformation, etc.)

Experience working in healthcare, medical data, or health technology environments is an advantage

Familiarity with medical data standards or healthcare systems is a plus

Good analytic, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Results-driven, able to function independently within a cross-functional team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
