Primary English Teacher

As a Primary English Teacher, you will be expected to: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages confidence, creativity, and a love of language. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, abilities, and learning styles of primary-aged students. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, using data to inform teaching and support student achievement. Foster strong classroom management and establish clear expectations to promote a respectful and productive learning environment. Support students in developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and independent learning skills. Contribute to the wider English programme through curriculum planning, resource development, and enrichment activities. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support student success and wellbeing. Demonstrate a strong understanding of primary English curricula, literacy development, and effective teaching practices. Participate actively in school events, parent meetings, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities. Requirements Qualified teacher with Masters Degree in Education / relevant subject disciplines Be proficient in written and spoken English The ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with teachers and other relevant professionals, parents and students; An understanding of current developments in teaching; Experience of a range of assessment strategies for identifying students’ needs and supporting learning; A commitment to pastoral care within the school; A commitment to developing students’ skills through extra-curricular opportunities.
