Test and Analysis Support Engineer

Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. As part of our continued support to our customer in the space sector, we are looking for Test & Analysis Support Engineers to support a critical spacecraft propulsion test campaign.

These roles will be based at our customer's facility in Cheltenham, supporting the execution of development, qualification and verification testing activities associated with cutting-edge satellite propulsion systems.

Successful candidates will be involved in the preparation, execution and support of spacecraft test activities, including test instrumentation setup, data acquisition, configuration of test equipment, procedure execution and post-test analysis.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience gained in the space, aerospace, defence, telecommunications, electronics, advanced manufacturing or other highly regulated engineering sectors.

Within this role, you will be responsible for :-

• →Support daily test activities under the direction of the Customer Test Director.
• →Install, configure and verify test instrumentation and support equipment.
• →Ensure test configurations comply with applicable requirements, procedures and specifications.
• →Input and verify test parameters prior to test execution.
• →Execute predefined test sequences in accordance with approved procedures.
• →Monitor test activities and maintain accurate test records and logs.
• →Acquire, store and process test data using approved tools and methods.
• →Support the investigation and resolution of test anomalies, non-conformances and unexpected results.
• →Assist with troubleshooting activities during test campaigns.
• →Complete test documentation and support configuration control activities.
• →Undertake test setup wrap-up activities, including equipment removal and dismantling.
• →Perform post-processing and analysis of test data.
• →Populate and maintain test results databases and logs.
• →Work collaboratively with customer engineering, operations and test teams.
• →Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and process requirements

• Applications are invited from candidates who may hold HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline in concert with significant and demonstrable subject matter expertise in an engineering, test or laboratory environment.
• Equivalent experience gained through technical apprenticeship programmes, military service or significant industrial experience will also be considered.

• Experience working within a structured test, laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately follow technical procedures and work instructions.
• Experience using test instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and test documentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience within the space, aerospace or defence sectors.
• Experience supporting environmental, propulsion, electronics or systems testing
• Familiarity with data acquisition and test monitoring systems.
• Experience investigating test anomalies and non-conformances.
• Understanding of engineering quality processes and configuration control.
• Experience working to engineering standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of spacecraft, propulsion, electronics or electro-mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with test data processing and analysis tools.

• Experience supporting engineering test campaigns or laboratory activities.
• Experience installing and configuring test equipment and instrumentation.
• Experience recording, processing and analysing engineering test data.
• Experience working alongside engineers and test directors within a controlled environment.
• Previous experience within high-technology engineering industries would be advantageous.
• Candidates may come from technician or engineering backgrounds.

• Ability and willingness to work on the client's Cheltenham site.
• Ability to work full-time on site during test campaign activities.
• Flexibility to support programme schedule changes where required.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.
