Provides administrative analysis, post-award services, and oversight to ensure compliance with grant requirements; serves as a resource and point of contact for finance staff and managers of grant-funded programs; develops data collection and training materials; conducts training programs; prepares information and reports for internal and external stakeholders; and ensures that grant information in the system's databases is accurate and complete.

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, with course work in finance, accounting, budget analysis, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in grants administration.
    • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the theory, methods, and principles of fiscal management, as well as the federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements that govern grant administration.
  • Ability to explain relevant issues and train other staff members.
  • Ability to conduct research and collect documentation independently.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  1. Maintains grant files and documentation as required by various grantmakers.
  2. Maintains the internal grant tracking database.
  3. Conducts monthly monitoring meetings.
  4. Provides training, oversight, and support for the preparation of reports and documentation required under various grants.
  5. Conducts spot checks to ensure that grants are being tracked correctly in FAMIS and Great Plains.
  6. Monitors in-kind obligations.
  7. Develops materials to facilitate grant compliance.
  8. Reviews fiscal and performance activities to ensure compliance with statutory, grant, and contract requirements.
  9. Reviews the list of disbarred vendors and ensures compliance with purchasing regulations.
  10. Ensures the proper labeling, maintenance, and disposition of inventory purchased with grant funds.
  11. May request that a grant-funded program is temporarily or permanently halted.
  12. Performs related duties as required or assigned.
