Schedule: Monday – Friday | School Day 7:35 AM – 2:35 PM Hours based on availability!

Falk-Rossler is seeking Substitute Teacher Aides to provide classroom support based on daily staffing needs.

As a Substitute Teacher Aide, you'll have the opportunity to work with different students, teachers, and classrooms while gaining valuable experience in special education. Assignments may vary based on school needs, making this a great opportunity for someone who is flexible, dependable, and interested in working directly with students.

Founded in 1986, Falk School serves students ages 5–21 across four Western New York campuses through highly structured classrooms and individualized educational supports. As an affiliate of Child & Family Services, we are committed to helping students build the academic, behavioral, and life skills needed to thrive.

Our classrooms are intentionally small—typically six students supported by one teacher and one teacher aide—allowing staff to build meaningful relationships with students and provide individualized support throughout the school day.

As a Substitute Teacher Aide, you'll step into classrooms where additional coverage is needed and work alongside teachers and other school staff to maintain consistency, structure, and student support.

• →Provide classroom coverage and support based on daily staffing needs
• →Assist classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional activities
• →Work with students individually and in small groups to provide individualized academic support
• →Support student supervision in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, transitions, and other school settings
• →Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
• →Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs
• →Follow established classroom routines, student support plans, and behavior-management strategies
• →Utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques when trained and necessary
• →Serve as a positive role model and support students in developing appropriate social and emotional skills
• →Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to provide consistent student support
• →Remain flexible and adaptable to different classroom assignments and student needs

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or coursework in education, special education, human services, or a related field preferred
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school or therapeutic setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide individualized student support and maintain student engagement
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Willingness to participate in required professional development and training
