About the Role
~1 min readFeeser’s Food Distributors is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician Level 3 to join our Fleet Maintenance team in Harrisburg, PA.
This is a senior-level diesel mechanic position for an experienced technician who can independently diagnose and repair diesel trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate has strong experience with advanced diagnostics, engine and component repair, electrical systems, brakes, trailers, and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, brakes, and drivetrains.

Perform advanced diagnostics on trucks and trailers.
- →
Overhaul engines and repair or rebuild major components.
- →
Perform Class A and B vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT requirements.

Diagnose and repair trailer, liftgate, ramp, HVAC, and refrigeration issues.

Perform structural repairs to trailer frames, bodies, and floors.

Conduct road tests to verify completed repairs.
- →
Maintain accurate repair, inspection, and parts records.

Assist and mentor less-experienced technicians.

Ensure repairs meet company, DOT, and safety standards.
Requirements

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, squat, climb, and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable working with power tools, machinery, trucks, and heavy equipment.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Strong advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with diesel engines, trailers, electrical systems, brakes, and major component repairs.
Technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
Refrigeration/HVAC experience preferred.
Paint and body repair experience is a plus, but not required.
