Production Technician

We are looking for a US citizen to become a General Production Technician. The role of General Production Technician is vital to the continued growth of Materials Sciences LLC and its service in the defense of the United States of America. This role is best served by existing skilled, detailed craftspeople that can advance in our processes from their baseline skillset.

The General Production Technician performs work primarily in an air-conditioned composites (carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar) manufacturing facility. Most processes necessitate some form of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). While it is desired for employees in this role to work with minimal supervision, they must also communicate effectively with other technicians to complete production objectives in a timely manner. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential as the final manufactured components are high-performance, requiring skill and precision to correctly produce on-time and on-budget. General Production Technicians are responsible for reporting their progress to a production Team Leader.

All Technicians must be able to stand on their feet for several hours at a time and lift heavy objects up to 50lbs on very occasionally. A high school diploma is a minimal educational requirement, and prior experience in a crafts field, manufacturing or a related field is highly beneficial. Industrial certifications are greatly respected. Note, this role is not the same as an electro-mechanical machine maintenance technician role. This role converts raw materials into composite components and assemblies.
