Compliance Officer - Regulatory

Flow Traders is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer with a strong interest and affinity with Digital Assets to join our Regulatory Compliance team in Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Analyze existing and upcoming regulations and translate regulatory requirements into clear, practical business and control measures
- →Lead the implementation of regulatory changes, ensuring alignment with trading strategies and operational processes
- →Act as the primary senior compliance advisor to the Trading department on complex regulatory matters
- →Own, maintain, and continuously enhance the regulatory compliance framework, with a focus on trading‑related regulations
- →Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal control documentation
- →Provide independent challenge and second‑line oversight to business initiatives and developments
- →Lead and contribute to regulatory‑driven business projects and strategic initiatives

Specialize in digital asset compliance, advising on applicable regulatory frameworks (MiCAR, and the intersection with MiFID II) and supporting the business in launching and scaling crypto-related / tokenized securities trading activities
- →Engage directly with regulators, exchanges, and other regulatory stakeholders, including managing inquiries, inspections, and audits
- →Conduct regulatory risk assessments and monitor ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations
- →Develop and deliver regulatory and compliance training across the organization
- →Support senior management with regulatory updates, impact assessments, and reporting

Collaborate closely with the Team Lead Regulatory Compliance
Requirements
~1 min read- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance within a financial markets environment.
- University degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge of the European regulatory framework (Wft, MiFID II / MiFIR, EMIR, MAR, SSR, MiCAR DORA, etc.).
- Proven experience in drafting and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
- Experience interacting directly with regulators and managing regulatory inspections or audits.
- Experience advising business stakeholders in a global financial or exchange-trading environment.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and financial markets.
- Experience performing regulatory impact assessments and compliance risk analysis.
- Strong interest in and affinity with Digital Assets
- High level of integrity, independence, and professional judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
