Machine Operator

• →Excellent understanding of manufacturing drawings, shop order forms and weld procedures as they relate to wrapping.
• →Identify tools and materials as per work order.
• →Configure machinery to produce quality results as per procedures and quality requirements.
• →Perform quality control checks to ensure the product follows work order requirements.
• →Clearly and legibly complete paperwork as necessary.
• →Record and calculate material usage.
• →Able to read precision measuring equipment.
• →Unload shipments, weigh and receive goods when required.
• →Ensure tools and machinery are in good working order and maintained.
• →Required to undertake shop cleaning and regular preventative equipment maintenance.
• →Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to HSE and quality.
• →Always maintain good housekeeping practices.
• →Participate in training and safety meetings as required.
• →Lift and carry materials weighing up to 45 lbs., lift items weighing more than 45 lbs. with assistance from other workers, forklift and/or overhead hoist.
• →Active participation in FET’s Health, Safety and Environment program.
• →Other duties as required.

• Dedicated to continuous improvement.
• Operator forklift and crane training.
• Able to meet deadlines while working in a safe manner.
• Mechanically inclined, ability to use small hand tools and/or power tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Strong aptitude to understand drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills,
• Able to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English.
• Grade 12 basic math skills.

• Grade 12 or GED – additional education past high school would be an asset

• Prior Manufacturing experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane training or experience considered an asset.
