Position Summary
The Project Engineer supports the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Please note, each project is unique and the respective duties and responsibilities can vary depending on the size, scope, and project needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
- Assist in managing day-to-day project activities from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
- Maintain accurate project records and logs
- Support project scheduling and monitor progress against timelines
Document Control & Communication
- Review and process submittals for compliance with project plans and specifications
- Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Attend all project meetings, create and distribute meeting minutes
- Distribute updated drawings and project documents to relevant team members
- Assist Superintendent with photo documentation and creation of daily logs
- Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Cost & Budget Support
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting
- Support change order preparation and documentation
- Review and track subcontractor pay applications
Quality & Compliance
- Help ensure all work complies with contract documents, building codes, and company standards
- Conduct site visits and participate in inspections
- Assist with punch list development and project closeout documentation
Safety
- Promote adherence to company and OSHA safety standards
- Participate in safety meetings and help ensure site safety compliance
- Assist in safety inspections and track deficiencies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong follow-up skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing by criticality
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to respond to changing operational needs
- Ability to read and understand construction documents, specifically, drawings and specifications
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, including computer, phones, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Results oriented
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree (or active studies) in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or other related field from an accredited program
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Procore (or equivalent) knowledge
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Combination of office and on-site construction environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer usage
- Frequent visits to active construction sites
- Ability to walk construction sites and navigate uneven terrain
- Exposure to moderate noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Work hours may vary based on project needs. A company-issued laptop and cell phone are provided to support work from any location and at any time.

- Travel to job sites and meetings as necessary
