Job Summary: The role will take lead on installing 1kW- 30kW residential solar systems and overseeing the installation process of a solar crew. This is an advanced installer position that requires prior solar installation experience, strong verbal communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Assisting Crew Lead in plan review

Ability to perform installs from conduit to roof

Ability to run through electrical wires

Installing DC and AC equipment per plans and local codes Commissions PV systems safely

Assisting Crew Lead to keep installers on task

Assisting with system designs and procurement for residential systems

Performing other duties as assigned by the Crew Lead and/or Regional Operations Manager (ROM)

Knowledge of local electrical codes

Knowledge of residential PV design and components

Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing

Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions

Ability to make field changes and communicate with Project Manager

Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC

Ability to receive and distribute instructions

Ability to communicate problems to Project Manager

Ability to drive a truck and trailer safely

Valid Apprentice Electrical License required

Valid CO Driver’s License required

Valid OSHA 10 required; (OSHA 30 preferred)

2-3 years of solar installation experience required

Ability to be a leader

Electrical experience strongly recommended

Prior experience as a crew lead strongly preferred

Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders

Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Ability to bend, stretch, squat and lift.

Ability to work in 100+ degree weather
