Maintenance technician - Skokie, IL

Position Summary

Full Circle Recruiting, LLC. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support beverage manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This role is critical to maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring food safety compliance, and supporting efficient production operations.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in preventive maintenance within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on beverage processing, filling, packaging, and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement timely repairs.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and maintain maintenance records.
• Install, test, and adjust machinery and production equipment.
• Assist with production line changeovers and equipment startups.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, packaging, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic systems, and packaging equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
