Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented Warehouse Driver to join our growing operations team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of finished products, raw materials, and supplies between our production facility, distribution partners, and customer locations throughout the Chicago area.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and is willing to support warehouse operations when not on the road. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products arrive accurately, on time, and in excellent condition.



Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including box trucks, cargo vans, and other delivery vehicles, while adhering to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Transport finished beverages, packaging materials, and supplies between production facilities, warehouses, distributors, retail partners, and customer locations.
  • Load, unload, and secure products using proper material handling techniques and equipment to prevent damage and ensure product integrity.
  • Verify deliveries and pickups by checking quantities, product codes, and product condition against shipping documentation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, proof of delivery documentation, vehicle inspection reports, and daily logs.
  • Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes while communicating any delays, traffic issues, or customer concerns to warehouse leadership.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to ensure fleet reliability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of company vehicles.
  • Support warehouse operations by assisting with receiving, inventory management, order picking, palletizing, staging shipments, and general warehouse organization during non-delivery hours.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Follow all company food safety, sanitation, quality assurance, and workplace safety policies.



Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse driver, route driver, delivery driver, or warehouse associate preferred.
  • Experience within food and beverage distribution, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments is highly preferred.
  • DOT certification or CDL is preferred but not required, depending on vehicle assignment.



Required Skills

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment (or willingness to become certified).
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, mobile delivery applications, and electronic delivery documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify orders and inventory.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance.



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and loading/unloading products throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles for extended periods.
