Senior Production Engineer (Plant Engineering / Power / Project Management) - Caribbean

GateSource HR Caribbean Division is partnering with a key client in the Caribbean to recruit an experienced Production Engineer that will lead the development and execution of a Capital Program aimed at expanding and upgrading production systems and facilities to support load growth, improve reliability and safety, enhance operational flexibility, and reduce system losses. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee Engineering Services capital projects related to the Production Division. Supervise and review new installations and modifications to civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards. Prepare, update, and monitor technical standards for electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems in the generation network. Develop scopes of work, design specifications, and detailed engineering plans to support construction activities, ensuring alignment with the company’s project management processes. Enforce company safety procedures and standards across all assigned projects, for both employees and contractors. Provide technical leadership in the Production area and general engineering support to other departments. Deliver occasional internal training sessions for staff. Actively participate in the engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of production systems. Provide on-call support and assist the Production Division as needed. Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and consultants from the Production and Transmission & Distribution Divisions. Guide and support team members in completing engineering and maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. At least 10 years of experience in plant engineering projects within the power utility sector. Registered Professional Engineer or working toward recognized professional accreditation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations. Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable. Benefits Four weeks of prorated vacation.
