Middle/Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Quick Summary
backend services/APIs, data model, storefront or admin UI, and tests aligned to acceptance criteria; Implement and evolve catalog, checkout, auth, admin,
Node.js with NestJS (or equivalent modular framework)—REST APIs, auth/session, validation, layered architecture, background/async jobs; Frontend: React + TypeScript; production experience with Next.
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own vertical delivery across backend and frontend—from API and data sync to storefront and admin UI—on a demanding B2C e-commerce product with tight timelines.
This role is ideal for someone who is strong in TypeScript end-to-end (Node.js backend + React/Next.js), comfortable with integrations (ERP/commerce sync, payments, shipping), and uses AI-assisted development in a disciplined, spec-driven way—not ad-hoc vibe coding.
You'll work in a small team (lean delivery), collaborating closely with Solution Architects, BA, and designers. You'll take features from approved specs / acceptance criteria to production: catalog and filters, cart/checkout, auth, admin tooling, and background sync jobs. You'll contribute to engineering standards, code review, estimation, and pragmatic MVP trade-offs under time pressure.
Requirements
3-5 years of commercial experience in full-stack or backend-heavy web development (with solid frontend delivery);
Strong TypeScript — production-grade typing on both API and UI layers; refactoring and code review;
Backend: Node.js with NestJS (or equivalent modular framework)—REST APIs, auth/session, validation, layered architecture, background/async jobs;
Frontend: React + TypeScript; production experience with Next.js (App Router, SSR/SSG) or willingness to ramp quickly on Next for SEO-critical storefront pages;
Data: PostgreSQL in production (schema design, migrations, query performance); familiarity with Redis (cache / queues) is a plus;
Experience integrating third-party systems via APIs, webhooks, or scheduled pull/export (ERP, payments, shipping, email)—idempotency and failure handling mindset;
Familiar with unit and integration testing (Jest / Vitest; API and UI tests; Playwright or similar is a plus);
Experience with Git and branching workflows (feature branches, PR review, CI gates);
AI Toolset (required): daily use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) for implementation, refactoring, and documentation—with human review, quality gates, and clear boundaries on payments, auth, and money/stock paths;
Spec-Driven Development (required): experience with—or strong readiness to work in—spec-first workflows using GitHub Spec Kit (or equivalent: spec → plan → tasks → implement); ability to implement from written specifications and acceptance criteria, not from prompts alone;
Ownership mindset: vertical slice delivery (API + UI + data + tests); early technical risk identification; constructive communication with SA, BA, and PM; comfort with MVP scope cuts and explicit deferrals;
English — Upper Intermediate (B2) or higher for async and sync collaboration.
Responsibilities
Deliver full vertical slices: backend services/APIs, data model, storefront or admin UI, and tests aligned to acceptance criteria;
Implement and evolve catalog, checkout, auth, admin, and integration features based on requirements and architectural design;
Design and maintain sync/integration jobs (e.g. stock/price/catalog pull; outbound orders) with clear ownership of source-of-truth boundaries;
Build and maintain Next.js / React surfaces with attention to performance, accessibility, and SEO where required;
Implement new features, evolve existing ones, and fix bugs with quality, performant, testable code;
Use AI tools and Spec Kit / SDD under team constitution and architecture guidelines defined by Solution Architecture;
Conduct code reviews across FE and BE; raise technical risks early (especially payments, stock, and cutover);
Collaborate with SA on API contracts, ADRs, and MVP vs Phase-2 boundaries;
Participate in estimation and planning; help keep delivery realistic on a small team and short timeline;
Provide a positive, polite, and open-minded style of communication.
Nice to have
E-commerce domain — catalog (PLP/PDP), product tags/filters, cart and checkout, promotions/promo codes, customer account;
1C / ERP or other inventory & pricing sync experience (file exchange, exchange nodes, stock/price pull jobs);
Payment / shipping integrations (local gateways e.g. Mono, Nova Poshta, webhooks, COD flows);
SEO-oriented storefront work: canonical/hreflang, sitemaps, robots, Core Web Vitals;
UI stack: Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui / MUI, form/schema validation;
TanStack Query, Zustand/Redux or equivalent on the client;
Message queues / workers (BullMQ, SQS, or similar) for sync and notifications;
CI/CD — GitHub Actions / GitLab CI; Docker basics; AWS (Lambda/ECS, S3, CloudFront) familiarity;
Admin / internal tools (CRUD, role-based access);
Mentoring, technical interviews, estimation and planning sessions.
