Requirements

- Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a professional office setting or educational environment. This can include experience serving in an advisory or leadership capacity to college students as an undergraduate (e.g., Resident Advisor), preferably interacting with first-generation and low-income demographics.
- Experiencing working with first-generation students or students from low-income backgrounds
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by first-generation or historically underrepresented college students.
- Demonstrated experience using Google Drive and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms, the design platform canva, and creating digital newsletters.
- Proven ability to collaborate with various student-facing departments within a complex institutional framework.
The Program and Operations Coordinator within the Georgetown Scholars Program (GSP) drives essential operations and serves as a key, welcoming touchpoint for nearly 700 first-generation and low-income students at Georgetown. Operating at the intersection of departmental administration and student engagement initiatives, this role supports daily office logistics, program events, and the student staff team.
By streamlining operations, tracking engagement data, and assisting with student advising programs, the Coordinator ensures GSP students receive the responsive support and robust resources necessary to not just graduate, but thrive.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Daily Operations & Hospitality: Serve as a professional, welcoming touchpoint for students, alumni, faculty, and visitors. Act as an escalation point for complex inquiries from students.
Space & Supply Management: Manage daily reception functions, place facilities requests, order/stock supplies, and oversee the scheduling calendar for the Student Lounge and "flex rooms" used by staff, students, and professors.
Financial Administration: Support purchasing and procurement. Manage and submit departmental expense reports, invoices, and receipts.
Student Employee Support: Assist the Associate Director in recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising student Front Desk Assistants
Update training materials and overall functional knowledge as campus resources change over time.
Event Coordination: Provide logistical and planning support for office initiatives, programming, and bi-annual Alumni Advisory Board meetings
Reserving spaces, ordering supplies, coordinating catering, booking travel, managing invites and event communications, and contributing to overall event strategies (goals and objectives).
Communications: Help manage program outreach and digital presence by updating the website, drafting newsletters, and creating content.
Assessment and Data Tracking: Track and analyze student engagement metrics—including office visits, event turnout, and course attendance—to identify trends and ensure program resources proactively address student needs.
Conduct student advising appointments, assist with events (e.g. GSP 101 and mentorship programs), and triage students to appropriate campus resources.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$41,926.00 - $65,090.00Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
