Payroll Specialist

A company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll expertise, deep knowledge of California labor laws, and experience working with modern payroll systems.

Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule

Ensure compliance with California labor laws and payroll regulations

Maintain payroll records, reporting, and reconciliations

Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies

Partner with HR and accounting to ensure accurate employee data and reporting

Support process improvements and system efficiencies

Proven experience in payroll processing

Strong knowledge of California labor laws (required)

Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
