Purser on Fishing Vessel

We are one of the largest producers of frozen at sea cod and pollock, and distributes seafood throughout the world. The Purser/Data Manager works under the direction of the Master and Mate and is responsible for assisting onboard managers with the administration of their duties, communicating vessel information and needs to the Seattle office and governmental agencies as required. Provide medical assistance to injured/ill crew members. Inspect fresh and frozen product to identify non-conforming elements, ensure product meets company quality standards. Maintain records of inspections and observations collected and reports as directed.

Regularly scheduled for 16 hour shifts, may be required to work additional hours due to occasional urgent vessel needs. Shipyard duties to be fulfilled as required or assigned.
