GLAS is currently undergoing an exciting evolution of the GLAS People Function, creating an opportunity for an EMEA HR Business Partner Associate to join the team.



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Business Partner Associate to support our EMEA operations within a regulated financial services environment. Based in Paris, this role will partner with stakeholders across France, Italy, Spain, and Germany, supporting multiple offices and ensuring people practices align with both business objectives and regulatory requirements.



You will work closely with the wider GLAS People Function to deliver consistent policies, promote best practice, and ensure compliance across all jurisdictions.



Roles and Responsibilities



  • Act as a trusted people partner to managers and employees across France, Italy, Spain and Germany
  • Support people operations across the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance management, development and offboarding)
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulatory standards
  • Ensure policies and procedures align with financial services regulations and internal governance frameworks
  • Partner with the wider GLAS People Function to implement initiatives, including performance cycles, compensation reviews and workforce planning
  • Support recruitment processes in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, ensuring alignment with hiring governance and approval processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits, maintaining accurate and compliant records and documentation
  • Support compensation and benefits processes in line with regulatory requirements (e.g. governance, transparency and documentation)
  • Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives across multiple locations
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including process improvements and regulatory-driven changes
  • Liaise with external legal advisors where required to ensure adherence to local employment legislation
  • Support visa and immigration processes

 

Key skills and experience required are:



  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in French, Italian and Spanish
  • Experience working in a high-growth, international business
  • Understanding of employment regimes across European countries is advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of EU employment laws and regulations is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a high workload and prioritise effectively
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, with the ability to stay up to date with changes
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Professional, proactive approach, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with discretion
  • High attention to detail, with a proactive mindset and the ability to support and coach others
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a multi-country environment
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use initiative while knowing when to seek guidance
  • Collaborative and self-motivated, with a strong team-oriented approach
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and experience using HR systems

 

Person Specification 

 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and employee lifecycle management
  • Experience operating in a multi-country, multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Working knowledge of European employment law, particularly within regulated industries
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance processes, or governance frameworks is highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across different cultures
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to align people solutions to business needs



Languages


  • Fluent in English, with strong proficiency required for collaboration with the wider GLAS People Function
  • Fluent in French (essential)
  • Proficiency in Italian and Spanish is highly desirable
